Nigerian dwarf goats are amazing little dairy goats that are allowed within the San Diego city limits in pairs. You must have two as they are herd animals and can not successful live alone. They are popular due their small size, colorful markings, calm even temperament, and engaging personalities. Their small statue requires less space and feed as their larger dairy goat counterparts. This makes for wonderful pets/ companions for all, including 4H projects for smaller children, the disabled, and the elderly. Does tend to milk around a quart per day on average, and they produce milk that is higher in butterfat and has a sweeter taste. This is excellent for making cheese, ice cream, and other dairy products. Goats milk soap is a great treat in the bath or shower.
